Gig - Club Tromolo Thurs 16th Feb Friday 27th January 2006
The first of our coming gigs in February is on Thurs 16th at Oran Mor, Byres Rd, Glasgow. We're playing at Club Tromolo, the club run by glasgow's Quinn, who will also be playing live. We'll be on around midnight, the club runs from 9pm till 3am and there will also be Fire Breathing, Tightrope Walking, Grenade Juggling and Spirit Contacting Artistes as well as music to dance to (ok, maybe all of those aren't completely accurate) and all of this for just 4 or 5 of your puny earth pounds!!!! Expect new songs about Zombie Robots, the M6 and the life improving benefits of Nanotechnology (if we finish progamming them!) and maybe another cheesy wee cover for fun.

Got an Urge? Saturday 7th January 2006
As previously reported we were so pleased with the response we got to our live performance of DEVO's "Uncontrollable Urge" that we decided to make a video for it. Special thanks to John Disco for boldly stepping in and producing and directing it. You should find high and low res versions on the newly renamed "Sound & Vision" page to download for free. You can now also hear Jimbot singing "Copacabana" for Dial-A-Diva.

Elvis and Bowie at Mono - Sun 8th Jan Thursday 5th January 2006
Happy New Year Everybody, For our first event of 2006 NANOBOTS will be starting the year proper by celebrating the Birthday of David Bowie and Elvis Presley on Sunday 8th January at MONO on KING St with a night made up entirely of their music. It starts around 8.00pm and admission is FREE, of course. It's a great chance to lounge around listening to some great music, catch up with those you missed over the festive and show off those Xmas jerseys. If you prefer a spacesuit, black (pvc)leathers, Las Vegas Kung Fu Jumpsuit or crochéd romper suit then please go ahead. We aim to lighten up the end of that dark first post-festive week with a celebration of all things Elvis and Bowie. There'll be music, pictures, slides, outfits and your welcome to bring relevant stuff for us to play e.g. that rare recording of Dave and Elvis performing "I got you Babe"" at Vegas in '73, sing-along to a karaoke backing or just pop in for an hour or two and enjoy the moment, we hope to see you all there.

Dial-a-Diva!Sunday 4th December 2005
Yes, thats exactly what we did. At 22:00 hours, with the help of Shonabot, a Casio keyboard and Sir Douglas McGarden, Jimbot sang "Copacabana" over the phone to the listening millions around the world! And along with listeners in Cairo, Zurich, Osaka, Kiev, Basra and Rome, renowned "Johnny 7" historian Edward Grattan was on(the)line to record the momentous event! You can hear it (brace yourself) on the Sound&Vision page.
